The Glistening Pond

The Glistening Pond

From the heart

The Glistening Pond

The Glistening Pond

From deep below

Troubled waters stir the night,

Ever so slowly

Churning the  murky depths,

Not seen.

Silently it creeps

Towards the sleeping calm

Shimmering unaware,

Faint moonlight sets the tone,

Unending night.

A stillness abides

For the reflection above,

Gently it moves

As if awaken from sleep,

No sound.

How long can i contain

The trouble that stirs before it breaks,

And Glistening Pond

Slumbers no more.

True Intent

The Glistening Pond

True Intent

Cannot be easily spoken

The "True Intent of the Heart",

Nor can it bet easily shaken

From whom we were at the start.

Shall not be easily taken

For granted by the Soul,

Nor shall it easily awaken

Through all of life's long toll.

Could that path be easily trod

Then many could easily bare

Their souls wide open to others

With hardly even a care.

The journey - though long may be

To tear from their heart the layers,

As one  - here or there may happen to see

The Intent of the moment we share.

Would be that the outer not judged

For far beneath our outer shell

There truly lies within - The Intent

Our heart to offer -

       from deep does truly dwell.

The Glistening Pond

True Intent

I am here - Sensing

The Dust as it Forms on the Face

Darkness giving way to light.

I am here - Cosmic Energy

Circular patterns Flowing

In Waves of Random Movement.

I am here - Weightless

As light Beams attach to appendages

Drawn through Time and Space.

I am here - Unfolding

Of Stellar Gases and Stars being born

A Witness to Our Essence.

No further could I run

To find myself almost done

In fear I stood, before the night

Sensing my end was near

The abysmal called for one last step

No other voice to hear

With pain of heart, I faced my fear

That one last step to take

And over the edge, my soul did fall

My dreams I did forsake

How long I fell was far from me

Of weight I had no thought

Until one day from sleep I woke

The fog had come to naught

I cradled arms I found myself

Far from that distant night

Enshrouded with warmth and peace of mind

Slowly forgetting my plight

With loving care he nurtured me

To the fears he applied a balm

My soul at last had found that place

My life had reached the calm

And life anew had finally sprung

From somewhere deep below

The truth indeed that in the end

Our paths we never know

To Be

In Misty Fog

In Misty Fog

Naked and Vulnerable

Free and Wonderful

Afraid and with anticipation I wait.

A longing  For something "other"

To be seen and not hidden.

All of who I am -

Past, Present, Future - (as time limits my perspective).

To Pass beyond that border

    To experience the whole

To be all that I am

            And all that I am

                And

Naked and Vulnerable

Free and Wonderful

Afraid and with anticipation I wait.

A longing  For something "other"

To be seen and not hidden.

All of who I am -

Past, Present, Future - (as time limits my perspective).

To Pass beyond that border

    To experience the whole

To be all that I am

            And all that I am

And all that I can -

                    To be..................

Aching Heart

In Misty Fog

Aching Heart

Why torment myself thus so

When aching heart doth strain,

T’would be better to lie alone

Than face the scorned disdain,

Of those whose intentions untrue.

Somewhere beyond the blue

           Another aching heart

T’will find it’s way so far

                         In chorus beat as one.

The Dance

In Misty Fog

Aching Heart

Dark and alone – The call of the dance beckons

From distant roots – Lost in the maze of time

An undulating force – Drives the lethargy from the grave

Sleeping wombs – Quake with the birth of life

Cosmic energies align, Divining the time as near

When lines fade – Cognizance merging onto one

And the Dance begins

Cast off the darkness of days

As dawn becomes dusk

And The Walls

No Stone Unturned

Dreams Drifting

For once there lived…
And light was once seen through the windows of the soul.

And music of the heart was shared to the world.
And warmth of the within drew the lonely stranger.

Of times past the walls tell of many stories.

Of many births
Of many lives
Of many deaths.

Then the life was gone
The light dimmed
The music no longer heard
The warmt

For once there lived…
And light was once seen through the windows of the soul.

And music of the heart was shared to the world.
And warmth of the within drew the lonely stranger.

Of times past the walls tell of many stories.

Of many births
Of many lives
Of many deaths.

Then the life was gone
The light dimmed
The music no longer heard
The warmth became frost.

And the walls became silent and died.

Dreams Drifting

No Stone Unturned

Dreams Drifting

Dreams drifting

As grains of sand in the hourglass

Gently stirred

By the movements

Of life’s ebb and flow

Reaching out

And watching

As those Dreams

Flow easily across my skin

Longing that one could touch my soul

Aching as I close my hand

Trying to capture just one.

With stars to share – This soul of mine.

a season, a reason

On Bended Knee

The Battle Between

The Battle Between

Once again I find myself

Upon the sandy shore

Through mist I cast my longing gaze

Across the sea of lore

The sands beneath, my barren feet

Shift slowly from the wait

As dawn awakes, the misty fog

Begins to slowly abate

And glistening hope across the still

Through misty fog does call

The morning dew, as beads do form

From brow they gently fall

The shards of light upon the sea

As beacons in the night

The day has broke, the fog does rise

And clearness becomes my sight

The vastness of what before me lay

Untouched from man’s demise

With feeble mind, I take my hand

The dew I wipe from my eyes

A lone loon calls, the stillness broke

A cry through the air it resounds

From stand to stance on bended knee

In awe my heart abounds

The sands beneath my barren feet

A reminder of my goal

As waking breath once more does fill

The hope within my soul.

The Battle Between

The Battle Between

The Battle Between

Once again as – I sit and write,
To find myself in this place,
Deep in my soul – I have to look,
The man in the mirror to face.

Of struggles past – and paths to come,
The journey is yet complete,
For as the sun – sets low again,
The pounding of my heart does beat.

Of pains that linger – within my soul,
The damage cannot be undone,
For yet I

Once again as – I sit and write,

Deep in my soul – I have to look,

The journey is yet complete,
For as the sun – sets low again,
The pounding of my heart does beat.

Of pains that linger – within my soul,
The damage cannot be undone,
For yet I know – the way was wrought,
With trials my tale was spun.

So pressing on – the past to leave,
The future is yet untold,
With surgeon’s knife – I try to cut,
New thoughts in my mind to mold.

My head speaks loud – against the tide,
Of the raging seas within,
To never find – myself again,
Fighting for love to win.

What should I do – I ask myself,
As through the days I go,
Would better my head – to make the choice,
The way would be clearer I know.

Or should I give – my heart the say,
And leap from this perch I stand,
The conflict within – I cannot resolve,
An answer my soul does demand.

The head says wait – the heart says go,
And everything else lies between,
As waiting for – a brilliant light,
To shine on that path serene.

To light the way – that I should go,
The choice is yet unclear,
So with caution I stand – until that time,
When face to face we peer.

The Elements

The Battle Between

The Whirlwind

Flame and Fire

Sent to devour

From this my hope

In night’s final hour.

Wind and Air

Stir the cold of the night

Awakening the senses

Of eternity’s long flight.

Soil and Earth

Stand un-affirming

Alone in this moment

With so much longing.

Waves and Water

So far from my grasp

To cleanse the dark soul

Forever at last.

Bereft of light to illumine

The way that we should take.

So as with many others

Our lives become so dark

The rope around the mooring

From loose to taut becomes

Till strained by life’s affronts

No longer able to hold

And dissipates before our eyes

.

The whirlwind we become.
