I was born in Port Hueneme, California in 1959.  From an early age, my love for the arts was evident.  I started at the age of 16 working with photography.  Initially doing work in color, by the age of 18,I began to experiment with B&W. For the next 9 years I developed my skills as a professional photographer  Landing a job at the age of 25, I worked in a print shop where I studied and began developing my own work in the darkroom. This continued for 4 years while in college .

After graduating in 1990, I continued working in this medium. In 2006 at the age of 47, I began to experiment in the area of digital art work.  Initially experimenting with 3D imagery, my deeper abstract vision eventually surfaced, leading to the progressive contemporary style I now create.

Along with photography and the visual arts, I have also enjoyed a love for creative writing throughout my life. It was in the spring of 2008 that I began writing under the pen name of Eoin, (the Irish form of John), and slowly began to adopt it to my art work as well.

 Eoin Martin Art was officially founded in 2013.

 I first displayed my work at the “444 Gallery Cafe” in Asheville, NC from 2010 to its closing in 2011. I reside in Great Cacapon, WV where I continue to predominantly work in the medium of digital art and photography.
